To The Fans: I Got Something For You

To my loyal fans,

Between making music for the people and being a father to my son, my time is split in two with whatever in between being too few…BUT I do try to keep in touch with you, my fans, to show my appreciation for your continued support. As you may or may not already know, I am on Facebook and Twitter from time to time. It’s a good place to get social. Twitter is for the chit chat and Facebook for the massive announcements.

Methinks sometime soon I’m going to start with the giveaways from my shop – CDs, gift bags, t-shirts, wristbands, stickers and maybe even tickets to upcoming shows. To make things interesting, I’m going to make you work for it a lickle bit. Soon as I figure out how, we’re going to let the games begin. If you got some suggestions for me, by all  means let me know in the comments, how should I go about giving you, the fans (not all of you, I’d go broke) some tokens of my appreciation? I’m all ears.

Free Outdoor Performance by Elan for Earth Day at LA Live

“The sun is shining, the weather is sweet
Make you want to move your dancing feet
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know, y’all, where I stand”
- Bob Marley

…and it will most certainly be one of those days this Sunday the 22nd at LA Live. If you are in the Los Angeles area this weekend, you should definitely bring your family and friends over to LA Live for a special outdoor performance by the soulful reggae crooner, Elan.

This Sunday should be a fun-filled festival of good people, good tunes, and good vibes. Irie. And if that’s not enough, it’s also a FREE show. Could you think of a better way to enjoy a sunny Sunday afternoon? Okay, I’ll take it one step further and appeal to your soul-cially conscious side.

Elan is proud to lend his talents to the Earth Day Fair of ecofriendly activities and educational showcases about how to live green in LA. We all share the same space and should therefore take care to keep it in the best condition possible. We are not first nor are we the last to call Earth home, which is why we shouldn’t ish where we sleep. Let that marinate.

Come out this Sunday the 22nd from 12 noon to 6PM. With the Downtown skyline playing the background and the sun shining bright overhead, celebrate summer’s arrival with Elan. The stage is located between the ESPN Zone and the Nokia Center. Hope to you see there and bring your camera. Elan loves snapping photos with the fans and sharing with the rest, who couldn’t be there.

Macy’s Rising Star

The competition is thick, but with your support, Elan could very well perform on stage at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival. All you have to do is vote. If you haven’t heard Elan’s first single off of WE Are, “Step into the Sunshine”, head over to iHeartRadio.com and give it a listen. Hopefully that persuades you enough to kindly vote for Elan as one of top 25 artists to take the stage at iHeartRadio music festival.

You can vote up to 25 times a day so get that clicking finger of yours loose. Not only will you be supporting your favorite artist, Elan, you could also win a VIP Festival trip for two! At the very least, you get a chance to check out a bunch of up-and-coming artists and a tune or two you’d otherwise never have had the chance to hear. Did I mention it’s free to enter? Do Elan a solid and lend him your bandwidth. Vote for Elan to play at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Stars & Strikes 2012

Hot off the heels of his headlining performance at the Jam For Japan benefit concert, Elan looks to keep the good vibrations going by lending his talents to yet another noble cause. This time around, Elan will be participating as a Celeb Ambassador for Stars & Strikes 2012 presented by A Place Called Home (APCH).

It’s going to be a fun-filled night of good food, flowing drinks, eclectic people and bouncy music all in the name of charity too. A Place Called Home is an amazing non-profit organization dedicated to the inner city youth of South Central Los Angeles. By providing kids with creative outlets to stifle those destructive behaviors, the APCH has empowered these youth to take ownership of their life and develop the life skills necessary to overcome the day-to-day adversity of growing up in otherwise rough neighborhoods. In a sense, the APCH is giving these youth the know-how to free themselves from mental slavery- truly righteous.

Elan extends an invitation to any and everybody, who wants to have a good time for a good cause. Buy your tickets here and come Wednesday the 14th, you could be sharing a bowling lane with Elan, himself, among other celebrities slated to be there. To name a few of the 2012 Celebrity Ambassadors, you can can expect to see:
